Utterly Sensory Clubs Terms and Conditions

Bookings
The Club Customer is defined as the parent(s) and/or guardian(s) of the child or children that are booking the club operated by its host, Utterly Sensory Ltd.
To hold a reservation for a club, full payment is required prior to the club session.
Cancellations
​
Cancellations can be received up to 24 hours prior to the club session. Refunds are not possible however re-bookings are available.
​
In the case of club postponement, a new booking must be made with which the non-refunded amount for the previously scheduled club will be carried forward to the new booking.
​
In the case of a requirement for Utterly Sensory to cancel the club due to unforeseen circumstances such as illness, a full refund of the club’s total amount will be issued.
​
There is no exclusion to the cancellation policy in the case of poor weather unless an Amber or Red Warning is issued by the Met Office by 6pm the day before the scheduled club date.

Safety
​
We reserve the right to set appropriate rules of conduct in order to best facilitate the club and maintain a safe environment.
​
In addition to Utterly Sensory staff, all adults present at the club are expected to supervise the safety of all participants. It is the responsibility of the Club Customer to ensure that all possible steps are taken to avoid any injury to a person. Children are the responsibility of their respective parent/guardian and must be supervised by said person(s) whilst onsite at the venue.
​
Basic First aid supplies will be provided by Utterly Sensory, however it is the Club Customer's responsibility to arrange adequate First Aid cover specific to the requirements of the club’s attendees, including additional medicinal requirements.
​
Utterly Sensory Ltd and its staff accept no liability for loss, accident or injury, or damage sustained during the club.
​
The crafts and activities included as part of the club are suitable for most ages. Some children may need adult supervision to participate including of a one-to-one nature by a parent/guardian.
​
Due to the nature of materials used in the club, Utterly Sensory require notice of any allergies held by the club participants at the time of booking.
​
The Club Customer is responsible at all times for the general supervision of children within the party venue, including exits, toilets, kitchen, and all areas onsite as include in the venue hire. Safe and appropriate use of the venue and Utterly Sensory equipment such that damage is avoided is required.
​
No smoking, illicit drugs, bonfires, or barbeques are allowed at Utterly Sensory clubs.
All guests must leave promptly at the end of the club, in order to ensure security of the venue and safety during clean down.

Cook Stars Terms & Conditions

We're delighted to welcome your child to Cook Stars and hope they have a fantastic time cooking with us!
Please take note of the following:
ONLINE SESSIONS:
By signing your child up to our online cookery sessions, you are accepting full parental responsibility for all children who attend. An adult guardian is required to supervise children at ALL times. Our sessions are not suitable for children under 2 years old and are not intended for children to do entirely independently. Children should NOT use any electrical equipment, hobs and ovens alone parents need to do this. Parents must assure the area their children/ you will be working in is clean and clear from any hazards. Children must wash their hands for at least 20 seconds before joining the sessions. An apron is recommended to ensure clothes do not get damaged. For children who have allergies, we advise checking the labels on all ingredients to ensure they are suitable for your child. We accept no responsibility for ensuring our recipes are suitable for children with allergies/intolerance, this is the parent’s full responsibility.
CLASSROOM SESSIONS:
All children attending our Minis class and Juniors class are able to enjoy a free class when they join. Payment for your child's first no obligation trial class is payable prior to attending the class. The cost of this trial class is then deducted when you book your child for the remaining half term thereby giving you a free class! You will be issued with a discount code to enjoy this offer.
In the event that we are unable to run a classroom session due to Covid 19 issues, then, as an alternative, the class will go ahead at the same time as advertised, as an online, interactive session via Zoom and all instructions will be sent out ahead of time. Any difference in price, may be carried over to the next half term, or refunded if requested.
Registration:
All parents/carers must answer all questions in full and agree to the terms and conditions before a child can be accepted at the cookery sessions/workshops. Any changes to the information contained on the Registration Form, whether it be contact details, medical details, change of address, etc., must be notified in writing by the parent/carer as soon as possible to the class leader.
The below information outlines our process, however if you would like to see the full details of our polices and procedures in response to Covid-19, please ask a Cook Stars member of staff who will be happy to share these with you. Changes you will see at Cook Stars sessions:
1. At Cook Stars our staff will we be adhering to the most up to date government guidelines.
2. Group sizes at our sessions will be no more than 15 children.
3. Increased hand washing and hand sanitising requirements.
4. Parents will need to self-certify that there have been no symptoms in the household for the last 14 days.
5. Increased cleaning of venues, equipment and utensils.
6. Social distancing during drop off and pick up with no parents allowed past registration table or in the venue.
7. Adapted classes to make for as safe an environment as possible.
8. Children will no longer share any equipment or ingredients.
Potential Risks: -Spread of infection from a child to another child -Spread of infection from a parent to another parent -Spread of infection from a child to their, or another parent -Virus Spread via surface contact -Virus Spread during activities -Development of Covid 19 symptoms during class -Transfer of virus from venue to venue via equipment handling
Precautions we are taking: - Venue cleaned before opening, after cooking and again after dismissal.
Cleaning to be undertaken using antibacterial disinfectant, disposable wipes and cloths.
General cleaning and wiping down before, during and after activities to minimise spread risk.
Regular handwashing and hand sanitiser.
Encouraging handwashing before cooking and after cooking and should it be required at other times.
Ensure soap and hand sanitiser stocks are plentiful at each venue.
Suitable hand drying or disposable paper towels available.
PPE - disposable gloves, masks, and aprons will be available to staff if required for administering first aid.
Each child to have their own individual equipment for use during our sessions.
Equipment only used by one person before complete wash down.
No use of shared equipment / items.
Restrictions:
We reserve the right to refuse admittance to anyone displaying symptoms.
We reserve the right to ask children to be picked up early - if they develop symptoms, or show signs of symptoms for Coronavirus.
Should your child display or develop symptoms whilst at home, we ask that they stay at home and self isolate and follow the Government guidelines. We politely ask that children don’t return to any of our sessions until this period has completed.
Please let us know immediately if your child develops symptoms following their attendance at our sessions.
If anyone in your household has symptoms, or develops symptoms prior to the session, or during the time you have a booking with us – we ask that your child does not attend our sessions and that you practice self isolation. As per government guidelines, we ask for a minimum requirement of 14 days without symptom in order to attend. We thank you for your co-operation with this.

Dropping Your Child To Class:
At least 1+m Social Distancing Measures will be required during registration and collection.
No parents will be permitted to enter the venue (past the registration point) for the safety of all our attended and staff.
We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone showing visible symptoms
Picking Up Your Child:
At least 1m Social Distancing Measures will be in place during collection.
No parents will be permitted to enter the venue.
Please make yourself known to staff who will ask your child to come and meet you.
Children will wash and sanitise their hands prior to leaving the venue.
Children will be brought to meet you at the entrance.
We thank you for your patience as this will take longer than usual.
Distancing measures during activities:
We will be making every effort to keep 1+m distance between our staff members, and between staff and children where safe and suitable to do so.
Attendees will be encouraged to remain apart from each other throughout the session, and activities will be adjusted to allow for distancing.
Tables and individual equipment will be set up to allow for adequate distancing.
No equipment or utensils will be shared between class attendees.
Group sizing will be dependent on total attendance. -Maximum Capacity will be 15 children -Staffing Ratios will be 1:14
Hand washing will be undertaken before cooking, after cooking and before children leave to meet parents at the end of the session.
Sanitising of surfaces and equipment will be undertaken following the completion of an activity.
Children will be discouraged from moving around the room unless they are washing their hands or using the toilet.
Sharing of ingredients and utensils and other items is strictly prohibited.
We take our duty of care to all attendees, guardians and staff very seriously and all reasonable precautions and steps to adhere to distancing measures will be taken.
Due to the nature of our sessions - which are mostly a stationary activity children will not be encouraged to mix at any stage during the session, however due to children’s inherit desire to interact we are unable to guarantee that a minimum distance of 1+m will be adhered to for the continuation of the whole session.
Where possible we will ensure distancing is observed.
By allowing your child to attend our session you provide consent that you are in agreement with these measures and terms.
If symptoms develop or present during a session:
We will isolate the child from other children as soon as possible
Safely supervise the child with appropriate distance to the situation (staff will wear PPE should it not be possible to maintain a distance of less than 1m.
The child’s parent will be contacted the parent immediately.
Advise parent to seek guidance and self isolate alongside the government guidelines.
Following the child being collected, the immediate area will be disinfected and any equipment which they have been in contact with will be cleaned.
Staff members will wash their hands and change clothing after the child has been collected.
The incident will be reported and noted.
Staff will monitor other attendees for symptoms.
Bookings:
At the first trial session, you will be charged at the session price for a single session and there is no obligation to join for the remainder of the term. Should you wish to join in for the remainder of the half term you will be invoiced accordingly.
Any free trial sessions that are offered, are limited to a maximum of 2 children per family.
Other than the first session, parents agree to book and pay for sessions half termly IN ADVANCE following a trial. For returning customers payment is required during the half term to secure a place for the following half term.
You must notify us asap if your child no longer requires a place at our sessions to allow opportunity for another child to join.
Please ensure that a minimum of 1 weeks’ notice is given to change pre-booked arrangements.
It is not possible to offer refunds due to non-attendance at a class once a booking has been made. If your child cannot attend their usual session, we will look to accommodate them at a different session (if we have space). If this is not possible, or you cannot attend the sessions offered, the fee for that class is non-refundable.
Children must be collected on time. If a child is collected late, parents will be invoiced for the extra staffing costs.
No child is to be dropped off before the start of the session. Our staff cannot take responsibility for children who arrive at a session earlier than the session start time. Any costs incurred by Cook Stars relating to the recovery of fees will be added to any amount outstanding.
Behaviour:
All children are expected to behave appropriately at our sessions. We ask parents to encourage children to support this rule.
Parents will be informed if their child's behaviour is inappropriate. We ask that you help us to set the right example to the children by treating our colleagues with the respect they deserve whilst at work. If your child's behaviour is deemed dangerous or poses health and safety risks during a session, we will notify you and they may be asked not to attend in the future.
Please ensure we are made aware of any behavioural needs of your child.
Child Welfare:
In the event of an emergency, parents consent to us seeking any necessary emergency medical advice or treatment during the running of the cookery session.
Children under 5 years old require an adult to accompany them and must not be left alone during the session.
It is your responsibility to ensure we are made aware of any dietary requirements or restrictions your child may have. You will asked about this during the booking process and if you have stated your child has an allergy or intolerance you will be asked to complete a separate form regarding this so we can assess if our classes are suitable for your child.
Please advise us in advance if someone other than you or your child's usual carer is collecting your child from our class. Please arrange a password with your class leader so we can ensure safe collection.
Children must be collected from the class leader at the classroom. Children will not be released from a session without a guardian to collect them.
Any child who has suffered from diarrhoea, sickness, or conjunctivitis is not permitted to attend our sessions for a period of at least 48 hours after such condition has ceased. Please see additional notice regarding Covid-19 symptoms.
Unless stated in the allergies section on the form, by signing these terms and conditions you give permission for Cook Stars staff to use antiseptic wipes and/or plasters on your child should they be needed.
Children are not permitted to taste foods that contain raw eggs or raw meat used in preparation during class.
Our classes are designed to be age appropriate however some preparation methods could be harmful (eg. grating). We will advise on the safest way to use equipment but ultimately the decision of whether you want your child to use specific equipment is up to you. Please notify us if you have any preferences regarding the use of preparation equipment. We take no responsibility for any injuries sustained during our sessions.
Please note, all ingredients, equipment and aprons are included so you do not need to bring anything along. We ask that children do not bring any electronic devices or other distractions to our classes.
Liabilities: We accept children to our sessions on the assumption that they are in good health. It is the responsibility of the child’s guardian to alert us to any medical complaint or history of illness suffered by your child. Children experiencing symptoms of coronavirus (covid-19), or cohabiting with person(s) experiencing symptoms will not be admitted to our sessions.
We do not accept responsibility for medically diagnosing individuals, or for the medical management of attendees at our sessions at any time. Additional professional advice from qualified medical practitioners should be sought by those experiencing symptoms.
We do not accept loss or damage arising from errors or omissions on the Registration Form whether completed by you or by another person in charge of your child at the time of completion.
We do not accept liability for infection or illness derived from attendance at Cook Stars sessions. We do not accept liability for death or personal injury to any child attending Cook Stars, or any activity related to Coo Stars whether organised by Cook Stars or otherwise save to the extent that such death or injury shall be caused by the negligence or default of any member of our staff or any other default on our part.
Other Losses:
We do not accept responsibility for any loss or expense due to circumstances beyond our control, including, but not limited to, delays in public transport, weather, quarantine, sickness, bereavement, strikes or other industrial action, terrorism, fire and riot.
Without prejudice to the other terms of this agreement, in no event (including our own negligence) will we be liable for any: a) economic losses (including, without limitation, loss of revenues, profits, contracts, business or anticipated savings); b) loss of goodwill or reputation; c) any other special, indirect or consequential losses; or d) loss to third parties.
Limitations:
No provision of these Terms and Conditions shall operate or be construed to operate so as to exclude or restrict our liability under the provisions of any UK legislation in force from time to time which are not capable of being excluded or restricted. Save as otherwise required by UK legislation, our total liability for any loss, damages, costs or expenses shall not exceed an amount equal to the invoice value for the services provided.
